Eaton’s Cooper Lighting business is currently seeking a Driver to join our team. This position is based at our Hicksville, NY location
This position prepares and moves products to the end result of servicing customer demands based on required material deliveries and shipments onto trucks

- Conduct local deliveries within the New York City / Five Borough region
Examine shipment contents and compare with records such as invoices or orders to verify accuracy and record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping purposes
Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, or shipping orders, to route material
- Accurately read, pick, and verify invoices or orders
- Operate manual and automated wrapping and strapping machines
Deliver or route materials to departments using pallet jacks or forklifts
Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock
Examine and inspect containers, materials, and products to ensure that packing specifications are met.

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Hicksville, NY will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
Must have a valid NY drivers license
Prior experience driving truck routes in NYC area
Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends with advanced notice.
