Eaton’s Lighting Division is currently seeking a Product Manager to join our team. This position is based at our Peachtree City, GA location. Relocation assistance will be provided if residing outside 50 miles of this location.
This position is responsible for developing and managing category and customer segment growth strategies with corresponding product line strategies and product line portfolio management and functions for all strategic and daily activities associated with the portfolio.

Lead and develop assigned engineering team including extended global team members.
Have responsibility for mentoring and recruiting highly skilled engineering talent
Define the long term strategic product roadmap, based on input from customer & channel influencers and market indicators and trends and strategic initiatives
Define the immediate next year new product introduction plan (MGPP handshake) including the detailed market and product specifications and business case justification
Continuously gather and analyze competitive product information, market trends and customer insights to ensure projects stay on track and ready for success at launch
Work together with NPD engineering and Marketing to set the targeted launch plans and releases supported by capital and resource budgets
Eaton has announced its intent to spinoff its Lighting Business into publicly traded company (“SpinCo”). This transaction is expected to be completed by the end of 2019 and this position is expected to remain with SpinCo. The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton’s plans, programs and practices. The Lighting Business is in the process of developing its total rewards philosophy, strategy and structure, including the design of its benefits and annual and long-term incentive plans that will take effect when SpinCo becomes a publicly traded company. If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Lighting Business when SpinCo becomes an independent, publicly traded company, you will be eligible to participate in SpinCo’s compensation, health, welfare, and retirement benefit plans and programs and should have no expectations that SpinCo’s plans and programs will mirror or be substantially similar to Eaton’s.

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required
Three years product or marketing management experience OR a lighting specifier, such as an Architect or Lighting Designer
Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future
5 years of experience in the lighting industry, outdoor/exterior lighting preferred
Has demonstrated mechanical, structural, civil, or similar engineering aptitude
Competency in LED and controls technology
Experience in new product development and technical program management
New product commercialization experience
Participation in Strategic Product Planning and Product Road mapping
Marketing and collateral development, including specification and technical writing
Graduate degree (e.g.: MBA, Marketing, Finance, Architecture, Accounting, Economics, Strategy)
Comprehensive knowledge of technical systems and products
Strong work ethic, flexibility, and a desire to actively contribute to the group’s success.
