You will be engaged as part of a multi-disciplinary international team focusing on the design and development of experimental intelligent power systems

 

As part of your role, you will be allocated in one of our technical teams to get exposure, as well as learn more about a wide range of technologies ranging from the Internet of Things (IoT), cloud computing, data science, machine learning, data processing pipelines, statistics, and analytic approaches to answer challenging business questions. This work will help businesses across the enterprise solve critical business problems, uncover new business opportunities, and turn their large volumes of data into valuable, actionable insights. This may involve sensor and actuator integration as part of decision control loops interacting with industrial control and building management systems. You will also gain hands-on experience with the tools and approaches used as part of the design, development and test process.

At the end, we expect you to have gained a clear understanding of the end to end research, design, and development process for proof of concept and early pre-preproduction systems. You will have directly contributed to this design, experimental development, and in-lab test process for at least one proof of concept system. In addition, you will have the opportunity to present your work to the team and senior technical leadership within the company.


During this exciting Internship you will:

 

  • Derive, interpret and effectively deliver the results of data analysis

  • Understand traditional and new data analysis methods

  • Utilize a broad range of techniques in machine learning, data mining, statistics, and big data interrogation methods

  • Work directly with business stakeholders, engineering, and test to create high quality solutions that solve end-user problems

  • Evaluate business requirements to determine potential solutions

  • Assist other engineering teams with their data science initiatives

Qualifications

Do you have :

  • A basic technical background is required in addition to an interest and background in Analytics, Data Engineering, AI Planning or Visual Analytics.
  • Some familiarity with Linux, C/C++, R, Python, and/or Java is desired
  •  A basic background in modeling and analysis e.g. Matlab, would be advantageous
  • Familiarity with Internet of Things, cloud computing, connectivity and networking, and security would be beneficial.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, in addition to LaTeX is also desirable
