Assembly Operator - 1st Shift

Job Description

Eaton’s Electrical division is currently seeking an Assembly Operator on Day Shift. This position is based at our La Grange, NC facility.

 
Position Overview: 

This position is accountable to assemble and finish connectors and related mechanical moldings according to specifications and to pack completed products. Pack completed products and label as required by print. Inspect, test, clean and label connectors as directed.

In this function you will: 

  • Finish and assemble a variety of different types of connectors and moldings.

  • Verify that parts supplied are correct per bills of materials, routers and prints.

  • Build sub-assemblies according to prints.

  • Assemble and adjust related assemblies according to complex prints and wiring diagrams.

  • Exercise care to follow color-coded wiring sequence accurately.

  • Use hand truck to move parts to inspection area as specified in router.

  • Operate computerized label printing system.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 6 months of soldering experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.  Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area of La Grange, NC. will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, or Refugee

Preferred Qualifications:

 
  • Prefer Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a multiple process-manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of various measuring instruments and ability to read blueprints.
 

Position Success Criteria:

  • Ability to use inspection measuring equipment (micrometers, etc)
