Job Description

Eaton’s Hydraulics (Filtration) division is currently seeking a Quality Manager to join our team. This position is based at our Reynosa facility.

The Quality Manager is responsible for leading the execution and deployment of the defined Strategic Quality Plan, providing Total Quality Leadership to customers, suppliers, partners and internal manufacturing cells, leading continuous improvement activities, and managing the Quality Assurance strategy to ensure product flow consistent with established industry standards, government regulations and customer requirements, ensures compliance to current Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001), ASME Code and the Eaton Quality Management System.

Some activities related with the position will be:

A. Manages the Quality customer interface to ensure that requirements are understood and met, including assisting in complaint resolution and root cause and corrective action determination.

B. Analyzes Quality performance and sets the plant goals for all Quality metrics and performs managerial reviews to evaluate results and recommend action plans to close gaps at an operational level.

C. Develops and implements the Quality function organizational structure capable of supporting strategic business plans and initiatives. Designs and implements quality assurance training programs and conducts training in quality-related topics, in addition to personnel development plans.

D. Leads the implementation and improvement effort to the Quality Management Systems. Is the designated Management Representative for the plant as defined in the ISO 9001 and ASME Code Quality System.  Leads the efforts of the Quality Engineers and Internal Quality Auditors

E. Ensures Quality functional participation in product development and launch activities including identification of customer expectations, manufacturing and test support, reliability analysis, design reviews, evaluation of test programs, material testing, leading to customer approvals on new, existing products, Pro Launch, MPS and design.

F. Achieve near miss’s goal and close them on time; develop a program to reduce scrap, to reduce the environmental foot print.

G. Evaluate strength of organization and provide recommendations to meet current and future needs.

H. Provide technical leadership to ensure a quality and cost-effective product, produced on time following the customer’s specifications.

I. Authorize and approve all assembly, calibration, test procedures, maintenance programs, PFMEA’s, method sheets and work instructions to ensure all processes optimization.

J. Lead and coordinate at the plant level new product development projects, product design changes and Capital Projects.

K. Ensure the application from the Eaton Quality Management System

Qualifications

 

  • Required Qualifications:

    Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field with five years experience in manufacturing/quality assurance.                                                                             Experience in welding processes.                                                                                      Experience in  metal fabrication process.

    3-5 years of prior experience supervising operations professional personnel.

    Knowledgeable in the application of Product/Process and Quality System standards of the International Certification bodies, and Customer Quality Requirements.

    Must be able to communicate effectively in English and Spanish.
