Eaton’s Electrical division is currently seeking a Senior Engineer Field Sales to join our team. This position is based at our Mexico City’s Office.

The Senior Engineer Field Sales is responsible for sell to customers in the targeted market areas. This position will be responsible to achieve the assigned sales goal consistent with the expectations of a thoroughly seasoned professional sales engineer while under supervision. There will be an expectation to optimize sales volume, product mix and profit margin, while increasing sales in the marketplace.

The target customer type for this position is end users, with the responsibility to create Power Quality service proposals. Success in this role hinges on the candidate’s ability to comprehend electrical power quality concepts, proactively identify high-potential customers and opportunities, convert complex customer problems into attractive solutions, and leverage a broad set of internal and external resources to close orders.

Some activities related with the position will be:

  • Develops and executes sales plans linked to Service Regional Plan, Profit Plan and Strategic Plan   to meet performance expectations and requirements.  Develop plans with assigned accounts including Mutual Marketing, training, visits, key accounts, forecast and strategic stock plans.

  • Identifies most potential customers and business opportunities in the assigned territory to achieve monthly sales quotas. 

  • Prepares monthly service sales forecasts by customers and by product lines. Prepares monthly Projects Forecast (Quotation Log) and yearly Prospection Matrix. Prepares personal expense forecast for the own operation. Control and maintain all the expenses below the plan.

  • Prepares service sales presentations to create product understanding and awareness. To be ahead of the competitors when show technical advantages of Eaton's services products with the potential customers. 

  • Builds and strengths relationships with customers and channel partners to enhance long-term business prospects.

  • Prepares sales proposals based on customer needs and expectations by using tools created by Eaton. Load all the opportunities into the Hit Rate Program and accomplish 360 processes. Follow up all the quotations until be allocated with the purchase order. 

  • Administers all phases of sales process to ensure effective and timely customer service and response.  At the end of the month prepares the Commercial Operation Report (COR) with all the activities developed and Market information recollected. 

  • Sells assigned services product platforms to targeted customers in designated geography with the objective of optimizing sales volume, product mix, and increase profit margin. Platforms include Services, spare parts, batteries, software and connectivity.

  • Active participation in continues improvements programs and committees.

  • Comply the Eaton Business System (EBS), in foundations, Planning, Growth, Functional Excellence, Assessment and Learning, mainly in the Eaton Business Excellence (EBE); ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 and its tools (such as: Eaton Quality System (EQS), Eaton Lean System and Six Sigma-ELS, HR Operating Review and Employee Survey.

  • Know and comply the Policies: Global Ethics, Values and Philosophy, Management Environmental Safety and Security and Health (MESH).

  • MESH compliance and follow up of policies and goals

  • Support MESH to accomplish goals and objectives related to environment and safety

  • Perform MESH activities

  • Report any act or condition not safe.

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills in English-Spanish required (90%).

  • Deep knowledge of UPS, batteries and DC systems

  • PC Proficiency including knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Office, AutoCad and Outlook

  • Attentive to details, and focus on customer satisfaction

  • Working knowledge of test equipment and diagnostic instruments

  • Desired experience in UPS market.
