Eaton’s Electrical Sector is currently seeking a Manager – Government and Commercial Contracts to join our team!
This position is based in Moon Township, PA, Beachwood, OH or Raleigh, NC. No relocation is being offered for this position.
The Manager, Government and Commercial Contracts will be responsible for (1) all phases of research and technology development contracts including formulation of responses to government solicitations, negotiation of awards and compliant execution of contract scope to achieve stated goals and objectives for our customers while ensuring the same standard of excellence and compliance from subcontractors and suppliers, (2) price type government contracts, and (3) commercial contracts. Continuous engagement with business, sales, technical, operational and financial functions is critical as they look to you for guidance and information to ensure compliance with comprehensive governmental regulations. The regular review and improvement of policies, processes and associated documentation is part of your charter as we build upon a tradition of excellence in Government contracts.

Lead the management of federal contracts and commercial contracts through review, analysis and interpretation of the terms and conditions identifying all legal risks and business considerations for Electrical Sector.
Conduct the negotiation of contracts directly with the government and coordinate ERL’s negotiating position by teaming with other corporate functions such as Program Management, Finance, Trade Compliance, Law/Intellectual Property and Eaton business/stakeholder.
Ensure compliance with financial reporting and invoicing requirements of the contract through timely communication of negotiated budgets and financial reporting requirements to finance and the technical project lead.
Ensure the accuracy of pricing and supporting documentation for material, equipment and subcontractor costs for proposal preparation.
Manage subcontracts including providing input into the development of subcontract SOW by the technical team, ensuring the inclusion of proper flow down terms and conditions, monitoring subcontractor performance and closeout.
Engage with the SBLO initiative, identify and engage small business in government contracts to make best efforts to meet the goals of the Small Business Plan.
Monitor the performance of the contract throughout its duration to ensure that all obligations are fulfilled, which includes but not limited to CDRL completion and reporting, Intellectual Property requirements, small business subcontracting plan requirements and contract closeout.
Lead process for distribution, communication and approval of all contracts through the use of CLM and applicable SharePoint sites.
Participate in government and commercial contracts training, including preparation and presentation of training materials to new hires and Eaton teams performing government contracts.
Participate in new business pursuit and associated contract strategy.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required
Minimum of 5 years of contracts or project management experience
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.
No relocation benefit will be provided. Only candidates within a 50 mile radius of Beachwood, OH; Moon Township, PA; or Raleigh, NC will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
Contracts certifications (FAR, DFAR, CFR, DEAR, ITAR, EAR, TINA, and CAS)
Project management certifications (PMP, PgMP, PfMP or PMI-RMP)
Well-versed in MS Office software programs
Travel up to 10 percent
