Northwest Regional Sales Manager - Lighting Systems and Solutions

Eaton’s Lighting Division has an opening for a Northwest Regional Sales Manager - Lighting Systems and Solutions. This remote position can be based in Denver, Colorado, Oregon, Washington, or Alaska.  

 

Position Overview:

This role will be responsible for the attainment of Division and Corporate goals for specification growth and management of relationships for assigned product lines.  The responsibilities of this position will include driving the specification brand awareness with Architects, Lighting Designers, Engineers, and Design Build Contractors in Washington, Oregon, and Alaska.  Work with manufacturers’ reps and Eaton counterparts to spec/sell a one-Eaton lighting solution.  Work with manufacturers’ rep to surround/close specifications in assigned territory.

In this function you will:


 
  • Coordinate with manufacturer representative to promote and maintain successful and profitable business relationships with current and potential customers.

  • Work with the NSM to establish realistic goals for the market, consistent with overall division goals of growth and profitability.

  • Analyze sales levels and trends through market research and initiates pro-active or corrective actions as required to assure attainment of objectives.

  • Assure that appropriate technical guidance and assistance regarding product applications is available to customer.

  • Work closely with, develops, and coordinates activities with application service departments within Eaton and agency partners to develop world class specification support. 

  • Promote and market company strategy through customer interaction at industry groups including speaking at conventions and tradeshows. 

  • Serve as “Voice of the Customer” by making recommendations and supplying feedback to Product Management and Engineering teams to ensure products meet and exceed customer expectations.

Eaton has announced its intent to spinoff its Lighting Business into publicly traded company (“SpinCo”).  This transaction is expected to be completed by the end of 2019 and this position is expected to remain with SpinCo.   The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton’s plans, programs and practices.  The Lighting Business is in the process of developing its total rewards philosophy, strategy and structure, including the design of its benefits and annual and long-term incentive plans that will take effect when SpinCo becomes a publicly traded company. If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Lighting Business when SpinCo becomes an independent, publicly traded company, you will be eligible to participate in SpinCo’s compensation, health, welfare, and retirement benefit plans and programs and should have no expectations that SpinCo’s plans and programs will mirror or be substantially similar to Eaton’s.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Associate's Degree from an accredited institution.

  • Minimum of 3 years of sales or marketing management experience in an electrical products industry.

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in Business, Marketing or Engineering

  • Experience in the lighting or lighting controls industry

  • Experience in identified market segments
