We are looking for Service Sales BDM in Eaton’s electrical business, based in Sydney, Australia. This exciting role offers opportunity to:


  • Drive sales of service offerings in defined geographical areas and segments to ensure delivery of sales budgeted revenue

  • Margin targets and ensure pipeline is growing and healthy

 

Your essential responsibilities:

  • Achieve profit plan (budget) through service sales – contracts – ensuring price consistency, profitability and growth

  • Responsible for building and maintaining the relationship with our customer base, being the conduit of information, including product updates, price movements, and technical updates and required reporting

  • Develop, execute and maintain Account Development Plans for Key Accounts

  • Develop and execute business development plans to seek new customers in defined geographical area and assigned segment

  • Respond to/input to tender responses where they apply to assigned geographical segment and service sales or where requested by National Service Sales Manager

  • Manage pipeline and lead conversion

  • Prepare weekly and monthly contract reviews reports and providing weekly and monthly Revenue and margin forecasts (plus report on any other sales related metrics that may be required)

  • Participate in the development of business efficiency improvement programs when required

  • Review specifications and prepare quotations for new and existing (renewals) service contracts

  • Determine service requirements and any product replacement / spares requirements, generate quotes, close sales and order equipment to meet the customer’s needs via interface with Services sales Support personnel

  • Liaise with sub-contractors

  • Train other members of the team so that we can meet the needs of the customers in the future

  • Support the team members development in technical skills as required

  • Ensure that all activities comply with Occupational Health and Safety Guidelines, legal requirements and ethical standards

  • Report to National Services Sales Manager any issues and results


Qualifications

 

If you have:

  • Have a sound knowledge of the main products that we currently service (UPS systems)

  • Trade or tertiary qualification preferred, with 3 plus years of related technical sales or customer service experience

  • Familiar with Sales Principles (Value Pricing, Business Intelligence, Value Selling, etc.)

  • Proficient in MS Office, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook

  • Prior experience in Australian Electrical Industry, Power Distribution or Power Quality is preferred
