Eaton’s Power Reliability Division is currently seeking a CNC Machinist to join our team. This position is based at our South Milwaukee, WI facility.
The CNC Machinist is responsible for performing the tasks necessary to set up, operate, & machine quality parts on the turning machines.

You will set-up & operate a variety of turn machines & equipment comprising of turret lathes, chuckers, automatic screw machines, etc. on a variety of shafts and castings, of various materials for standard product lines.
You will select proper tooling to set speeds and feeds, and calibration, while maintaining tolerance and production standards
You will perform miscellaneous duties and operate secondary equipment including, but not limited to, burr bench, cleaning operations, etc.
You will assist Quality and Engineering teams with problem solving and trouble shooting for new product development
You will maintain a clean and safe work area, will adhere to all facility environmental, health & safety guidelines, will encourage communication and participate with co-workers to further identify, reduce and eliminate potential hazards.
You will assist in maintaining an atmosphere of continuous improvement and team efforts for accomplishing departmental and plant goals.
You will perform cell housekeeping duties on each shift along with basic machine cleaning & care, to meet 5-S requirements.

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
Must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
Minimum one (1) year experience in operating CNC machinery
Minimum one (1) years experience working with blue prints/ schematics, micrometers and calipers.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area (50 miles) of the work location will be considered.
Knowledge of machine set-up procedures
Must be able to walk/stand for an 8 hours shift with or without reasonable accommodations.
Must be able to lift 44lbs with or without reasonable accommodations.
Position Success Criteria :
Ability to read and use drawings, routings, blue prints, specifications, part numbers, and other shop documents affecting this position.
Abilities in the use of micrometers, calipers, indicators, and various other measuring instruments.
Ability and willingness to work overtime, weekends and any shift as needed
Ability to stand, sit and/or walk on a hard surface as well as safely bend, stoop, reach and use ladder up to 8 hours a day, occasionally up to 12 hours per day
Ability to lift 25 pounds frequently and occasionally 50 pounds or more
Vision to accurately read all necessary production documents and computer monitor screens
