Product Management Intern

Job Description

Eaton’s Hydraulics Division is looking for a Product Management Intern to work in Eden Prairie, MN for Summer 2020.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Analyze regional market & customer needs and lead regional PANP (penetration, attrition, new product and price) efforts to drive outgrowth of the product line.
  • Support the regional business development activities for the product category.
  • Acquire & retain comprehensive knowledge of regional competitive positioning and competitor strategies.
  • Support development of product strategies/roadmaps and lead execution of the product strategies in the region; including positioning, managing product, segment & channel mix; and developing targeted value propositions.
  • Implement strategic pricing.
  • Support resolution of the commercial and technical issues that occur in the region, as required, for the product line.
  • Monitor regional product profitability for each product line and recommend changes to meet Eaton top and bottom line objectives.
  • Work with cross functional Product Growth Team members to propose prioritization of product development activities.
  • Interface with the Regional Eaton Sales Team, Distributors, and customers to promote and support the sale of responsible product lines – with a strong focus on organic growth. 
  • Support regional development and deployment of marketing programs to drive organic sales for the assigned product lines.
  • Act as key regional marketing resource for, trade shows, Tech Days and other related National/International forums.  Participation in Trade Associations.
  • Provide support on commercial contract negotiations on a needed basis
  • Support manufacturing footprint strategies in region based on customer/market requirements.


Basic Qualifications:
  • Actively enrolled in Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum overall GPA of 3.0 or higher (Career or in-major GPA will not be considered).
  • Minimum of one year of collegiate courses completed or equivalent by the start of the internship.
  • No relocation benefits offered. You must reside within 50 miles of Eden Prairie, MN to be considered.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
