Eaton’s Power Systems Division is currently seeking a Fabrication Team Lead to join our 3rd shift team, starting at $23.55/hour, depending on experience. This position is located at our Badger Drive facility and has core hours from 11pm-7am.
The Fabrication Team Lead performs duties in the areas of planning, controlling and motivating the efforts of team members to meet customer requirements/order rates. They also ensure the Lean production process is running as designed, and meet Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Inventory goals. The Team Lead regularly uses a process to track and follow-up on assigned tasks. The Team Lead is responsible for directing team members and communicating with other team leads within and between shifts. This position works under the guidance of the Value Stream Manager and production Supervisor, exercising initiative and independent judgment as needed.

In this function you will:
Lead a team of hourly personnel in a specific department to fulfill customer requirements and order rates by producing quality products in a safe and timely manner utilizing standard work.
Gather information for updating S-Q-D-C-I and HR x HR boards. Achieves Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost, Inventory targets through daily and weekly analysis of production data as assigned.
Align resources, people, and work. Lead the team start-up meetings and shift changes. Conduct production and floor checks.
Review prior day’s production-tracking documents to understand root cause of issues. Review hourly personnel’s daily task assignments and creates new assignments to hit Takt time.
Establish preventative actions to meet specific Safety & Environmental Goals and conducts regularly scheduled 6S, safety.
- Conduct training and performs audits as required.
- Fill in for Supervisor in respective department as necessary.

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
A high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution is required.
- Must be able to work in the US without company sponsorship.
Relocation benefits not included. Only candidates living within 50 miles of Waukesha, WI will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
Minimum 1 year of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a leadership capacity.
Experience in the safe operation of various types of material handling equipment such as forklifts and cranes
Position Success Criteria:
Effective written and oral communication skills and a demonstrated ability to influence others to achieve specific goals. Proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); SAP a plus.
