This individual will be a local SAP Development Supervisor located in Shanghai, China responsible for managing a development located in their region. The SAP Development Supervisor will be responsible the compliance of their Development Team with the agreed upon SAP Support SLA and any associated supplier Statements of Work. This position will also be responsible for implementing smaller projects and enhancements in support of Electrical Sector IT and business strategy primarily within their region but also as a part of the global SAP CoE Team. The position will work in conjunction with business leadership and IT leadership to coordinate and communicate Production Remedy queue status; handle escalations; and ensure alignment between the sector goals, IT strategy, and prioritization of Incidents, Requests, and Problems. Aside from solid leadership competencies, the Section Lead must demonstrate SAP technical skills
Management activities toward fulfilling the SAP Support SLA and Supplier Statement of Work.
Lead regular status meetings with the support employees and contractors.
Provide new contractor on-boarding assistance as necessary with any new members joining the team in the region.
Ensure that the IT Service Management processes are followed.
Motivate and actively mentor any supplier primary contacts to foster communication, delegation, service delivery, and service support skills.
- Be accountable for the SAP Production Balanced Scorecard.
Act as escalation point for the business for major production issues, if necessary.
Lead and mentor others in the by sharing knowledge in modules, technology, techniques, and processes.
Takes a lead role in small project implementations around the globe including taking the technical lead role of a sub-team when required. Work with Business Analysts in the Program Management Office and project Functional Analysts to evaluate and refine business requirements documents and subsequently produce technical requirements documents. Technical specifications would include program specifications, file descriptions, screen designs, record layouts, report layouts, and workflows.
Ensure ABAP code is unit tested and support all testing activities, assisting our Quality Assurance team to produce comprehensive test scripts.
Prepare presentations that detail the team’s capabilities in various modules, techniques or team processes and will present those materials to leadership and to other teams as required.
Continually learn different modules, database schemas and programming techniques to provide value to our business by enhancing self-knowledge and capability.
Maintain awareness of new technologies (especially offered by SAP Corporation) that are relevant to our environment at Eaton.
Measure, improve, develop, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise-wide SAP-based application systems and driving the creation and maintenance of ABAP development standards including the development and tuning of complex algorithms.
- Bachelor degree
Relevant experience gained over 10+ years is necessary, as well as previous work experience as team lead, supervisor, or manager
- Familiar with ABAP Development
- Forms Development – Adobe Forms, SAPScript, Smartforms
- Data migration - LSMW, BDC
Familiarity with SAP Integration technologies – PI, ALE, IDoc
- SAP Userexits, BADI, enhancement spots
- Familiarity with Web Development – ABAP Webdypro, BSP
- Familiarity with SAP Workflow
Exposure to three or more of the following SAP modules: MM, SD, PP, FICO, WM, Vistex
Exposure to two or more of the following SAP systems: ECC 5.0 or higher, GTS, PLM, SRM, XI/PI
