Channel Sales Engineer - UAE

Job Description

  • Responsible to reach and exceed assigned sales targets for LV distribution products, ICD products and Wiring devices in UAE.
  • Support all aspects of the relationship with direct distribution channel partners and create demand through Accessible Panel Builders, Contractors, OEM’s, Retailers, Consultants, System Integrators and clients within the assigned area of responsibility.
  • Build a project pipeline through demand creation activities and execute this through Eaton distributors. 
  • Work closely with the project sales team and specification manager to achieve sales and order targets. 
  • Provide technical assistance to Contractors, OEM’s, Panel Builders, Distributors, Consultants, System Integrators and retailers as needed. Hold regular product training sessions with customers to ensure customers staff are well trained and equipped to promote Eaton products.
  • Be aware of and responsive to market conditions and competitor activities. Communicate such information to sales management and product managers.
  • Maintain a co-operative and credible working relationship with other company personnel to assure goals are met and customer satisfaction.
  • Plan promotional efforts and presentations with distributor personnel to gain recognition. Ensure marketing tools / point of sale material are utilized effectively.
  • Support distributor inventories and inventory turns by recommending specific products and levels to be stocked.
  • Prepare and present bids and quotations to customers using company price and delivery guidelines, and use sound business judgment to enhance margins.
  • support total quality effort by:
    a) providing timely and accurate information for order entry
    b) elevating quality issues to attention of management
    c) ensure that accurate information flows to and from customers
  • Ensure all assigned customer’s outstanding payments are received in a timely manner upholding DSO targets.
  • Collect, analyze and utilize market intelligence data on competitive products, customer needs, preferences and buying habits.  
  • Provide necessary reports and surveys requested by sales management by indicated deadlines.
  • Appointments need to be planned in advance, ensuring that each call has a clear objective thus maximizing selling time and effectiveness.
  • Develop Eaton’s distribution and panel building business in UAE.



  • Should be an Electrical engineering graduate with minimum 3-5 years experience working in the Middle East.
  • Good presentation skills and technical knowledge of LV Distribution and ICD products and Wiring devices..
  • Good level of English required.
  • Driving License is a must.
  • Demonstrates sound knowledge of the assigned market & channels including competitor’s information.
  • Should be a strong closer
