Product Manager - Solid State Devices

Eaton’s Electrical Sector is currently seeking a Product Manager to join our team. This position is based at our Moon Township, PA location.  Relocation assistance will be provided.

Position Overview:

The Product Manager- Solid State Devices is responsible for advanced circuit protection including solid state devices utilizing Wide Band Gap power semiconductors.  This role will cover both Medium and Low voltage applications in AC and DC systems.

In this function you will:
  • Maintain an understanding of the market place including relevant applications and associated price points, competitive offerings and price points, the technology underlying the competitive offerings, influencing Codes and Standards and other factors that will impact product design, positioning and acceptance.

  • Leverage market knowledge to develop a go-to-market plan that optimizes resources by focusing on early adopting market segments

  • Work with Engineering to develop specifications for hardware and software based products that meet customer's circuit protection and control needs. 

  • Identify electrical system changes required by this technology (i.e. different cable sizes due to overload performance) while identifying the customer impact or value generated as a result.

  • Provide marketing support for the Power Components Divisional Team working on the ARPA-e program.

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution

  • Minimum  (5) years of professional experience in a technical or marketing role in the Electrical Products Industry

  • Minimum  (5) years of professional experience in a technical or marketing role in the Electrical Products Industry

  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future

Preferred qualifications:
  • MBA
  • Commercially savvy with a technical aptitude

  • Power Systems, Power Distribution, and OCPD Functionality
