As a Hydraulic Sales Engineer, you will be part of the Sales Distribution Team dealing with customers and partners. You will be selling pump systems, engines and valves to our partners mainly based in the Rhône-Alpes. You will be visiting customers 50-60% of your time.




Your key deliverables :


  • Act as an adviser to Distributors to analyse their needs.

  • Provide technical and sales support throughout the full sales cycle.

  • Develop sales with existing customers and spot new opportunities

  • Recommend price proposals/changes, product changes, delivery changes and other miscellaneous programs as needed for good customer relations.

  • Plan, conduct, or coordinate sales and training sessions on standard and new products and their applications for customers and or distributors.

  • Gather, identify and report customer and market information on new or prospective products.

  • Gather and assess data on competitor’s products and their market penetration

  • Maintain and update product forecast utilizing customer input

  • Prepares and submits itineraries, routing call reports, monthly reports and other sales-oriented documents to the Regional Sales Manager.

  • Represents Eaton at Regional and other Trade Shows and Conferences and reports appropriate related market information

  • Organize and support distributor / system builder activities at target accounts


Do you have / Are you?




  • Third level education, engineering degree preferred.

  • 3-4 years’ experience in Hydraulic sales

  • Experience in Distribution channel management

  • Fluent English

  • Self-starter, autonomous



  • Ability to create strong partnership and network with key distribution partners

  • Strong sales acumen

  • Good technical knowledge
