Inside Sales Representative

Job Description

The primary function of an Inside Sales Representative (ISR) role will be to support management, outside sales engineers and internal/external customers in providing effective solutions to challenging problems involving technical and commercial issues in the Ireland Country Sales Organisation. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: closing orders based upon expertise developed in selling skills and technical knowledge, selling abilities to position Eaton product lines into preferred position in market and customer activity and providing technical knowledge regarding products/services. The ISR provides technical product support and is the internal account manager for all top customers.

The Inside Sales Representative is to act as a technical and commercial resource to field sales, customers and distributors for quotations across all product lines and segments.


The essential functions of the role include:


A. Review and interpret customer needs on plans and specifications. Determine the minimum bill of material, most competitive price level and shipment cycle within the market. Responsible for shipping, customs duties and VAT
B. Organises PMRs (Product Modification Requests) into factories, set up new skews, prices and do the quotation to the customer
C. Ensure invoicing is correct before processing on the system for payment.
D. Sets up new vendors, new plants and organizes the purchasing from our internal plants
E. Deals with queries, quotations, pre-sales and after-sales technical support
F. Manage all Warehouse activities – inbound and outbound stock and returns, booking, picking, packing and labelling and liaising with couriers. Also conducts pre-checks on returns before accepted.
G. Deliver exceptional service as the main point of customer contact through a positive attitude, high availability, accuracy, and responsiveness.

H. Interpret customer specifications, drawings and schematics to provide quotes, solutions, and accurate information for quotes and orders
