As our new Quality Manager you will work within our world class team in Doncaster. Your duties will include: providing quality, regulatory and technical skills on process and product validation. The role will have a number of internal plant-based activities and responsibilities with an element of liaison with both customers and suppliers. The successful candidate will instigate a quality culture across the business, using Eaton's quality system, which contains known quality tools and techniques to continually improve, monitor, communicate and maintain robust quality activities.

 
 

Your key deliverables:

  • Conduction of external and internal quality audits.
  • Continuously improve customer satisfaction by ensuring open communication and resolution of issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Monitor customer/plant/supplier quality and provide rapid response for quality problems.
  • Communication and monitoring of problem solving.
  • Coordinate containment activities as applicable. 
  • Ensure implementation and verification of corrective and preventative actions.
  • Facilitate and lead process improvements using a variety of quality and continuous improvement tools, including but not limited to Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, 5S, SPC, engineering studies, DOE, gauge R&R, FMEA etc.
  • Responsibility for quality of new products introduced in the plant.
  • Actively supporting quality improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Monitoring and tracking of identified metrics.
  • Responsible for effective supervision, coaching, training and guidance of employees.
  • Any other duties as required to support the business.
 
 
 

Qualifications

What we are looking for:

 
Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Technical/Engineering discipline preferred, or equivalent experience
  • Min 5 years of experience in quality management systems and auditing
  • Knowledge of quality and continuous improvement tools (8D, FMEA, 5S, SPC, Six Sigma)
  • Change agent, strong direct and indirect manager of people, coaching skills
