Eaton Lighting currently has an opening for a Director, Total Rewards based in Peachtree City, GA. This position reporting to the CHRO will lead total rewards function for SpinCo with sites and resources globally.

This role will be responsible for establishing strong business partnerships and acumen while leading the total rewards function to drive performance of the business. Responsibilities include: partnering with leadership and functional leaders to build a multi-year benefit and compensation strategy to ensure SpinCo has the right total rewards strategy to achieve long-term goals.
Works directly with the CEO and the CHRO to ensure the overall global total rewards strategies and programs are designed and created in a way to deliver our long-term business strategy, are in line with our compensation philosophy, are supported by our shareholders and comply with all regulatory requirements.
Advise the Board of Directors, CEO, executive team and HR leadership team on all rewards programs including compensation and benefits per corporate governance requirements.
Promotes an internal appreciation for the business value of strategic compensation, while enhancing the basic rewards infrastructure, so that there is a well-defined and appropriate framework in place.
Coordinates all medical plan vendor interaction and activity, continually looking for cost-out opportunities. Leads vendor integration efforts ensuring appropriate metrics, data flows, contracting and PG’s are in place control health care spend.
Ensures that the approaches to Equity Compensation are appropriate for the business environment and culture, recommending changes that ensure Eaton remains market-competitive, while balancing costs and meeting business objectives.
Reviews and oversees employee benefits offerings and recommends changes to the benefits programs to take advantage of tax-efficient programs and to ensure competitiveness.
Leads the effective communication of benefits to achieve employee awareness, understanding and appreciation of the programs offered.
Monitors monthly, quarterly and annual medical spending trend and determines the appropriate cost mitigation strategies. Leads monthly medical spend analysis and reporting to senior management.
With corporate legal, ensures compliance with ERISA, HIPAA and EEOC regulations for all health and welfare programs.
Eaton has announced its intent to spinoff its Lighting Business into publicly traded company (“SpinCo”). This transaction is expected to be completed by the end of 2019 and this position is expected to remain with SpinCo. The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton’s plans, programs and practices. The Lighting Business is in the process of developing its total rewards philosophy, strategy and structure, including the design of its benefits and annual and long-term incentive plans that will take effect when SpinCo becomes a publicly traded company. If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Lighting Business when SpinCo becomes an independent, publicly traded company, you will be eligible to participate in SpinCo’s compensation, health, welfare, and retirement benefit plans and programs and should have no expectations that SpinCo’s plans and programs will mirror or be substantially similar to Eaton’s.
MINIMUM (BASIC) QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
A minimum of 10 years of diverse Total Rewards experience in a global enterprise
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship
MBA or other advanced degree strongly preferred
People management experience
Knowledge and experience on total rewards plan design, strategy and data analytics
Demonstrated ability to deliver flexible, creative reward strategies that link directly to operating unit issues/drivers, attract, retain and engage talent, as well as proven ability to manage the corporate communication strategies that reinforce compensation and benefits messages.
Strong financial knowledge and demonstrated understanding of accounting for financial disclosure reporting for the income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statements and the implications for incentive design.
Multi-task various simultaneous projects and activities
Effectively managed previous multi-discipline efforts and cross vendor work
Experience with broad-based analytics
A history of successful interaction and influence with all levels of stakeholders including the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors, Chief Financial Officer, Tax Department and other Senior Executives
