Eaton’s Electrical Group is currently seeking a Fabricator - 1st shift to join our team. This position is in our Aurora, CO facility.
The primary function of the Fabricator is to machine raw materials into useable goods for further assembly.

Operate machines throughout fabrication department such as CNC saws (double-cut, tiger), manual saws, drill press, etc.
Interpret intermediate level blueprints and production orders.
Verify material requirements and quantities to B.O.M. specifications.
Report any shortages, B.O.M. discrepancies and substitutions every day.
Identify part size, hole sizes and location dimensions.
Accurately measure lengths and squareness to tolerances using tools such as micrometers and calipers.
Properly maintain equipment in accordance with TPM requirements
Reports any machine malfunctions, defective parts or safety hazards.
Aid in preventative maintenance activities.
Know and follow established job specific and site wide health and safety procedures and rules.
Bring health and safety issues, unsafe acts and safety suggestions to management’s attention.
Actively participate in accident, injury and illness prevention activities.
Identify and correct hazards and unsafe conditions.
Adhere to 5S standards and requirements for proper area maintenance.
Basic ability to edit and adjust machine programs.

- High School education or equivalent (i.e., diploma or GED) from an accredited institution required.
- Minimum 6 months experience in fabrication and/or interpreting blueprints.
- Experience using precision tools (micrometers and calipers).
- Only candidates living within 50 miles of Aurora, CO will be considered. Relocation benefits are not provided for this position. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US on a permanent and consistent basis without company sponsorship.
- Machine operation experience, e.g. CNC Saws (Tiger, Double-Cut, etc.) Manual Saws, Drill Press, Manual Mill, Hydraulic/Pneumatic Presses.
- Some Mastercam CAD/CAM software experience
- 2-3 years of set-up and operation of CNC mills and CNC lathes, preferably on Haas and Fadal machining centers.
Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends with advanced notice.
Ability to work overtime.
Ability to work effectively in a team oriented environment.
Attention to detail and adaptability.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety and quality priorities.
Ability to perform all job functions in adherence to Eaton’s philosophy and values, policies as well as the Environmental, Health and Safety standards.
Experienced with manual mills, drills and saws
Good understanding of G code functions, and possesses the ability to make programming edits to meet drawing requirements.
High level in blueprint interpretation with the ability to train others.
Ability to measure and maintain tolerances to +/- .005 using calipers, height gages and micrometers.
- Include micrometers, calipers, tape measurers, rulers, protractors, personal protective equipment and punch press setup tools
