Eaton’s Aerospace Division is currently seeking a Production Industrial Engineer  to join our team. This position is based at Euclid, OH location.

Position Overview:


The Euclid facility has approximately 400 employees and is a leader in the design, development, manufacture and delivery of Aerospace Fuel Pumping components, systems and services to the global aftermarket and OEM markets.


The Industrial Engineer takes a hands-on approach to lead Lean manufacturing initiatives, aligned with Eaton Lean Six Sigma (ELSS) methodology including Cost out / Labor optimization, CONC/DPPM reduction and Continuous improvement activities.

In this function you will:

  • Develop sequence of operations and layout; conduct time & motion studies to promote efficient asset utilization during manufacturing and assembly processes.

  • Ensures a strong foundation of process Standard Work, implementing best practices, and information sharing across the factory.

  • Contributes to site Environment Health and Safety (EHS) improvement initiatives by performing activities such as: area Risk Assessments (RA), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Ergonomics Assessment, Safe material handling practices,  Safety observation and facilitation of closures.

  • Evaluate and maintain time standards to develop metrics and maintain scorecards to aid reporting to the leadership team.

  • Establish costing standards for new product or alternate process routing (example - labor, machine hours etc)

  • Support Manufacturing Engineering function by validating that work standards are up to date and are aligned with our current practices.

  • Research and propose the practical usage of Advanced manufacturing techniques (Automation – Robotics) ; administer capability studies and run prototypes to verify proof of concept.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Industrial Technology from an accredited institution is required.

  • Minimum 2 years engineering experience in a manufacturing environment is required.

  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.  Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the Euclid, OH facility will be considered.  Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. 



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Lean manufacturing experience

  • Excellent communication, people and problem-solving skills

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects/activities

  • Sound manufacturing background

  • Working knowledge of SPC and Six-Sigma principles
