Eaton’s Hydraulics Fluid Filtration division is currently seeking a Hydraulics Filtration Product Manager to join our team. This position is based at our Eden Prairie, Minnesota facility.


The Hydraulics Filtration Product Manager is responsible for product marketing management for multiple current products and new products as the portfolio expands.  In this role, you will have responsibility for product management, product marketing, product life cycle management, promotion, and product strategy for the outlined product lines on a regional or global basis. The Product Manager will work closely with functional leaders to develop and implement growth strategies to drive product profitability, volume, mix, market share improvement, and price globally.  The Product Manager will lead the Global Product Growth Team. This role has primary responsibilities for product promotion, product awareness, communication of product capabilities, product management, information availability and reliability, development, and pricing execution for OEM customers and distribution awareness.

In this function you will:
  • Achieve growth and profitability through MPS, win/loss analysis, pricing strategy (YoY), product lifecycle management, as well as rationalization, cost out strategy & implementation, funnel development, evaluation of target markets & applications, opportunity assessment & prioritization, D-list & overall margin analysis.

  • Achieve product strategy development and communication with value proposition creation, existing products (portfolio specific/category), and competitive SWOT, as well as product line roadmap.

  • Support NPI through competitive intelligence gathering, fulfillment strategy, customer tech days (incl. trade show dev), and forecasting, as well as VOC, understanding Market & Customer expectations, product specification, market pricing development, customer and market research, business case development, and NPD value proposition construction.

  • Product management activities including channel training, competitor cross reference w/ value props, social media strategy, search optimization strategy, lead generation strategy, distributor programs (portfolio specific), product training, event support: EDM, lead generation, campaign/ promo plans / SPIFFs, Customer Experience Mapping, development of collateral (brochures, catalogs, technical docs, etc.), gathering success stories, marketing tools development and deployment, develop sales tools, as well as marketing campaign (portfolio specific) management.

  • Daily product line management activities including: Customer visits / meetings, Catalog / literature health, ASM support, Customer / tech support, PGT reports, PowerSource health, and MPS, as well as Deep dives, Global alignment review, Pricing for big opportunities – CAP development, Warranty agreements, and LTAs.

  • Business development: acquisition/ partner targets research and recommendations.

  • Provide operations support including delivery updates, SIOP, and Quality / warranty resolution, as well as Systemic issue/ quality resolution, capacity planning, and fulfillment strategy (Portfolio Specific).

  • Participate in the development of monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts and profit plans for Hydraulics Filtration Products on a regional basis.

  • Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing on designs and processes that drive cost-outs with a goal of improving profitability.

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business or Engineering from an accredited institution is required. 

  • Minimum of 5 years’ work experience in Hydraulic products.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future.

  • No relocation is being offered for this role.  All candidates considered must live within 50 miles of the Eden Prairie, MN facility.  Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.

  • Seven years of relevant industry experience.

  • Experience developing and executing strategic plans.

  • Demonstrated success in developing value propositions.

  • Experience in value selling at multiple levels of large accounts. 

  • International experience. 

  • Strong business acumen.
