Product Line Manager

Job Description

Eaton’s Vehicle Group is currently seeking a Product Line Manager to join our team. This position is based at our Kearney, NE facility.

The Product Line Manager is responsible for proactively implementing, promoting and maintaining a safe working environment, through diligence in accident prevention, investigation, and equipment maintenance and rule enforcement.

  • You will drive the company's vision and mission by reinforcing ethics, values and quality policies throughout the department of responsibility.

  • You will drives continuous improvement programs and manufacturing process improvements by applying appropriate Eaton Business System processes and problem solving tools such as Eaton Lean System and 5S.

  • You will set, communicate, and achieve department goals and objectives and develop and maintain performance metrics as required to drive results and use those results as a tool to identify and initiate process improvements.

  • You will fully engage the workforce and promote personal accountability by identifying goals, empowering employees to drive decision making, foster innovation and continuously learn by providing ongoing feedback on employee performance with formal evaluation provided at least annually.

  • You will develop the product line budget and manages manufacturing expenses within budgetary parameters.

  • You will collaborate with Maintenance and Engineering to establish product line capital goals.

  • You will develop the profit plan and strategic plan details relating to production and support activities.


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing

  • Minimum of 2 years manager of people experience

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship

Position Criteria:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate employees

  • Experience in budgeting, capital equipment analysis, cost accounting and project cost analysis

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint

  • Demonstrated experience in Lean Manufacturing and 5S

 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree or MBA from accredited institution
