Eaton’s Lighting Division is currently seeking a Retail Marketing Manager to join our team. This position is based at our Peachtree City, Georgia location. Relocation assistance will be provided.

Position Overview:

Our marketing team is seeking an experienced Retail Marketing Manager to lead our recessed and track retail channel product strategy and implementation.  This position will work closely with our product line managers to manage existing products and develop new product offerings and implement.   As the Retail Marketing Manager you will also work with various cross functional teams to grow sales through our retail channel partners.

In this function you will:
  • Collaborate as a key member of a cross functional team, develop new products in line with product technology roadmaps to achieve cost targets, revenue and profitability expectations.

  • Implement marketing, promotion and other programs outlined in the strategic plan to grow recessed product lines in the Retail channel.

  • Drive retail line reviews for big box and hardware customers to generate incremental sales through creation of new planograms, leading financial analysis, and leading all overall marketing strategy to add new products in line. 

  • Utilize effective VOC initiatives providing market, competitive and customer intelligence to the global sales and marketing teams in support of long-term strategy and tactical plans.

  • Utilize category management to create customer value and position Eaton and its products as industry leading.

  •  Be responsible for driving demand creation in conjunction with the retail teams globally.

  • Key metrics include product line sales, margin, new product sales and margin, innovation (LED and Controls) penetration, cash/inventory, and capability/leadership development.

  • Direct generational evolution and cost-out activities in line with continuous process improvement activities.

  • Create marketing communication tools such as Power Points, videos, web content and promotional support.

  • Strive to meet and exceed new product introduction (NPI) vitality goals through driving.

  • Work in harmony with the operational team to improve quality, delivery, etc.

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or a related field from an accredited institution

  • Minimum of 5 years product management experience (preferred in the Lighting industry, dealing with lighting or electrical products.) 

  • Minimum 3 years Retail channel experience.

  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future

Preferred qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years of technical experience as well as experience with a formal new product development process (Six-Sigma, DMEDI, etc.)  

  • Self-starter and ability to think independently and work with little supervision

  • Provide demonstrated success in leading projects from concept through implantation working with cross functional teams.

Eaton has announced its intent to spinoff its Lighting Business into publicly traded company (“SpinCo”).  This transaction is expected to be completed by the end of 2019 and this position is expected to remain with SpinCo.   The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton’s plans, programs and practices.  The Lighting Business is in the process of developing its total rewards philosophy, strategy and structure, including the design of its benefits and annual and long-term incentive plans that will take effect when SpinCo becomes a publicly traded company. If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Lighting Business when SpinCo becomes an independent, publicly traded company, you will be eligible to participate in SpinCo’s compensation, health, welfare, and retirement benefit plans and programs and should have no expectations that SpinCo’s plans and programs will mirror or be substantially similar to Eaton’s.
