Aftermarket Sales Representative - Used Serviceable Material (USM)

Eaton’s Aerospace division is currently seeking an Aftermarket Sales Representative – Used Serviceable Material (USM) to join our team. This position is based at our Grand Rapids, Michigan facility.


The Aftermarket Sales Representative – USM is responsible for supporting the overall sales goals of the USM Business Unit. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining efficient and profitable support for the day-to-day operations of the group and help further establish Eaton’s presence in the USM marketplace. You will be asked to collaborate across product lines, working with sales and customer service, to identify opportunities to grow sales and market share.

In this function you will:
  • Represent all aspects of respective Eaton product line.

  • Develop and proactively drive vendor relationships and serve as one of main USM sales contacts.

  • Achieve and maximize sales and margin objectives.

  • Develop existing traditional business.

  • Recommend and pursues sales opportunities available in the marketplace.

  • Provide support to existing outside sales team airline customers.

  • Provide support in management of repairs.

  • Evaluate market trends and coordinate with sales group to anticipate areas of opportunities.

  • Assess market channel delivery options (direct or through distribution).

  • Have a fundamental understanding of regulatory processes around Aerospace and Export Controls and assure compliance with all export control regulations-ITAR.

  • Assess current practices for continuous process improvements.

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.

  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in sales and/or marketing .

  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’), have been granted Political Asylum, or Refugee.

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.

  • No relocation is offered for this position. All candidates must currently reside within 50 miles of Grand Rapids, MI to be considered.

  • Prior experience in the purchase and sale of used and serviceable materials

  • Possess ability to develop, implement, and achieve ambitious sales goals.

  • Possess strong interpersonal skills, writing skills and presentation skills.

  • Ability to work in a matrix environment, get results and drive change through others.

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills as well as planning and organizational skills.

  • Experience with e-commerce and marketing through the internet.
