Material Planning Manager

 

Eaton Bedhampton are currently looking for a Materials Planning manager, to manage their material planning team at the site,

 

Supporting the supply chain manager, you will supervise and coach the planning team,

 

Your key deliverables:

 

  • Championing and driving Inventory reduction plans and ensuring ownership for the various elements. 

  • You will lead the Materials Planning function and drive continuous improvement, ownership & accountability through the team.

  • A main part of this role is to drive adherence to Customer OTD & execution to requirements.  Championing ERP Health process on site.

  • You will facilitate the site SIOP Process including a monthly process that plans New Product and Current Production orders for an upcoming firm period, up to a rolling 18-month period.

  • You will participate in the development of the Profit Plan and Strategic Plan process.

  • This person will drive MPS, ensuring that all demand actual & forecast are loaded into the ERP and system and the parameters are accurate & aligned to model plant policies, 

  • You will balance demand with supply, align installed and manned site capacity with demand to ensure the MPS plan is supported.

  • Drives standard SIOP process with cross functional team. Ensures Model Plant Policy is followed, and plan is firmed: Measures via forecast accuracy and maturity score & participates in the annual profit planning cycle.

  • Champions site ERP Health improvement programme & adherence to model plant policies

  • Balances current and future customer demand requirements with manufacturing and supplier capabilities/capacities to ensure completion of customer requirements. Ensures that the MPS is not overloaded and that every MPS work order has a valid future date assigned to it-Loads into ERP

  • Reviews new sales order requests and provides a feasible promise dates to customer service before the orders are promised

  • Reviews planning parameters in ERP to ensure proper order generation (lead times, time fences, routings, capacity/demand)

  • Develops Material/Production Planning team to execute standard work and to continuously improve processes to improve flow and meet Customer expectations.

  • Ensures daily reconciliation meetings are held with manufacturing, quality and other key cross functional areas in support of the MPS plan

  • Drives capacity/demand/material review in support of SIOP/MPS

  • Champion inventory reduction plan and ensure MPS is aligned to support the plan.

     

 


Qualifications

 

Are you?

 

  • We are currently looking for a candidate with a strong supervisory background within supply chain planning

  • You will have existing experience of supervising a team of four plus people

  • For this role we are looking for a candidate with a strong demand and supply planning background, which includes a solid background in forecasting

  • You will be a candidate from analytical background

  • A clear communicator you will have experience of working with people within an organization at all levels

  • The successful candidate will be degree qualified

  • We are ideally looking for someone from an aerospace background however candidates from a similar industry are welcome to apply

  • The successful candidate will have a solid MRP and ERP Background

  • You will be working significantly on SIOP so experience and understanding of this is crucial

  • We are looking for a candidate with a manufacturing background and a strong quality management system background
