Eaton’s Lighting Division is currently seeking a Senior Analyst/Category Manager to join our team. This position is based at our Peachtree City, Georgia location.



Position Overview:

This position requires the ability to support Eaton Lighting retail channel through utilization of customer POS and external data to identify market trends and growth opportunities. Measure and drive improvements to Eaton and the retailer key metrics. Oversee the retail operation, financial planning, and POS reporting across all brands.

In this function you will:
  • Support from / to line review analysis providing recommendations to improve mix and profitability.  Provide in-depth financial analysis including ROI of proposed programs.  Run financial models to support various scenarios and be able to influence internal and external resolutions when needed. Review customer scorecards / metrics and facilitate improvement plans when needed.

  • Assist in the planning and development of customer/Eaton growth strategies through proactive preparation, strategic development, and participation of all line reviews

  • Measure effectiveness of promotional activities; provide recommendations for expanded or new opportunities. Provide proactive analytics, and recommendations for continuous improvements. 

  • Support development and recommend improvements to plan-o-grams.

  • Assist in direction of sales activity (including both brick & mortar and .com) for the achievement of short and long-term business objectives, increased profit and market share.

  • Facilitate the execution of new sales programs throughout the cross-functional teams that support the retail channel including marketing, pricing, supply chain, and finance teams.

  • Interface with merchant and supply chain teams as needed to ensure product offerings are relevant, price competitive and stocked at appropriate levels to support customer demand.  Provide analysis and feedback on sales performance, inventory position, and trends what will help drive growth for the retailer and Eaton.

  • Monitor competitive activity in all categories. Responsible for providing external intelligence on market trends and compiling competitive analysis (new product introductions, benchmarking, market share, SWOT analysis, pricing, etc.).

  • Assist in the development of new product roadmaps (MGPP), pricing and marketing strategies, and identifying gaps in the current product offerings.

  • Work with sales service groups to drive execution of key store events such as: Product resets, utility rebate programs, pro events and product training.

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, marketing and/or category management in roles of increasing responsibility.

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience working with consumer products through the hardware/home center channel.

  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future

  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.  Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Peachtree City will be considered.  Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working with consumer products, preferably in electrical products (lighting ideal).

  • A minimum of  8 years of experience in sales, marketing and/or category management in roles of increasing responsibility
