Test Engineer
 

As part of the Engineering team, the test engineer is to carry out all aspects in relation to the test including but not limited to rig modifications, fixture assembly, test setups and strip down, development testing, qualification testing and production testing. Need to be able to work on their own and also closely with the project engineer or test witnesses. Takes full ownership of the job/test, attending meetings, reporting to the project team on progress, problem solving, leading other team members or new starters and ensures all services are available prior to start of test such as fuel and LN2.

 
Your key deliverables:

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a testing environment

 

Sound knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical engineering


Capability of working, communicating and following instructions from Design


Engineer or Project Engineer


Experience with Aerospace Fuel or Air testing


Ability to follow and create documented risk assessments


Computer-literate, with familiarity of Microsoft word and excel

 

Assist with 5S audits and EHS reviews as required

 

Ability to work with and without direct supervision, following procedures in written Work Instructions and technical drawings

 
Do you have?
 

Knowledge of aircraft fuel system component testing


Knowledge of fuel and air systems


Knowledge of basic mechanical/electrical engineering


Knowledge of test rig operation


Working knowledge of pipework systems – design and build


Understanding of test procedures and requirements/specifications

 

Computer literacy


Good organizational and planning skills


Leadership skills and team building are essential


Understanding of environmental health and safety issues relating to working with large quantities of aviation fuel, high voltages, high air pressures and high temperatures


Working with other departments to achieve results


Understanding of and ability to problem solve specialist services such as steam, vacuum, liquid nitrogen a plus
