The primary function of a payroll department is to process payment to employees. This, depending on the size of the company or organization, a payroll accountant's duties can range from basic office responsibilities to accurately maintaining multiple payroll accounts.
* Payroll accountants have to generate the salaries of all the employees that are working for the company
•They have to oversee that the paychecks are handed or are transferred to every individual's account
•They have to make entries for all the transactions and maintain all the books that are given in their care
•Payroll accountants also have to do any other accounting duties that are handed to them regarding the company
•They have to carefully calculate the salaries of all employees as there could be deductions regarding leaves or additions like incentives; hence, they have to be extra careful while making calculations
•They can make suggestions to improve the payroll system
•They also have to be careful while making tax deductions else it could affect the reputation of the company
•They have to ensure that all industry standards accounting laws are followed

The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton’s plans, programs and practices. The Lighting Business is in the process of developing its total rewards philosophy, strategy and structure, including the design of its benefits and annual and long-term incentive plans that will take effect when SpinCo becomes a publicly traded company. If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Lighting Business when SpinCo becomes an independent, publicly traded company, you will be eligible to participate in SpinCo’s compensation, health, welfare, and retirement benefit plans and programs and should have no expectations that SpinCo’s plans and programs will mirror or be substantially similar to Eaton’s.
