Customer Service Representative

Job Description

Eaton’s Electrical Sector is currently seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our team. This position is based at our Ellisville, Missouri location.   


Position Overview:

This position requires the servicing of all domestic and international customers’ accounts regarding administration of their orders. Interface directly with customers, sales force, and most of the Bussmann teams.

In this function you will:
  • Respond to inquiries from customers and salesmen regarding most administrative aspects of the status of customers’ orders or potential orders, (e.g., pricing, shipment status, defects, etc.) in a manner that displays the utmost responsiveness and professionalism, as they may be the customers’ main contact with Bussmann.

  • Enter emergency customer orders or specialized orders into our order processing system

  • Exercise judgment and take appropriate action regarding customer and sales force requests on most problems dealing with customer orders and resolve at maximum profit to our operations and service to customers. 

  • Exercise judgment in using guidelines established in policies and procedures to make decisions on service issues, such as replacement orders, premium freight shipment, authorizing returns, issuing credits, and limited pricing authority. Confront and solve performance/operational issues to improve engineering efficiency.

  • Coordinate with Applications Engineering on adaptability of our product to customers’ special needs.

  • Coordinate with Marketing Department regarding special prices, quotes, or promotions.

  • Issue return goods authorizations and enter replacement orders. Solve problems in invoicing, shortages, incorrect shipments, tracing shipments, and errors in entering orders.

  • Coordinate with Supply Chain, logistics, and distribution to effectively assist with managing our delivery and fill rate levels to provide the highest level of service to our customers.

  • Able to analyze and identify On Time Delivery issues and make strategic decisions that balance the needs of the customer with the needs of the business.

  • Monitor special or key accounts, based on customer requirements.

  • Able to work any shift within our hours of operation as well as be available for overtime when a business need arises.

Qualifications

 
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution

  • A minimum of one year experience in a call center/customer service environment

  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future

  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.  Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Ellisville will be considered.  Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred qualifications:
  • SAP experience
  • Ability to type 35 to 40 wpm

  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Excel.
