HFM System Administrator

Job Description

Eaton’s Electrical Group is currently seeking a HFM System Administrator to join our team. This position can be based at our Peachtree City, GA. or Atlanta, GA. location.  Relocation assistance will be provided.

Position Overview:

The HFM system is the Consolidation system that all SAP company codes feed into.  This critical system will be Lighting’s Book of Record for its consolidated internal financial statements and external financial statements for reporting to the Securities and Exchange Commission(SEC).  HFM Planning will be utilized for profit planning and forecasting purposes and is a critical feeder system to HFM. 


In this function you will:

  • Manage the HFM/Planning systems during close to produce Lighting consolidated financial results

  • Ensures the applications are always running efficiently and effectively

  • Conducts and facilitates end user support, end-user training and manages system Help Desk

  • Manages the Production (PROD), and Development (DEV) instances of HFM/Planning

  • Plans and manages necessary system upgrades and patches

  • Plans and manages related system growth, as company grows

  • Responsible for communicating any HFM/Planning system issues and reviewing application performance reports for a global audience

  • Special projects as assigned, most within cross-functional teams 


Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.

  • Minimum 4 years of varied accounting experience with knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles set forth by FASB.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in roles across all the phases of the Software Development Life Cycle - requirements gathering/reviews; systems and application design; development and testing.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience with Hyperion tools, including HFM, FDM and automation of interfaces and processes and experience with installation and configuration of Hyperion applications suite

  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future

    Preferred qualifications:

  • CPA a plus
  • MBA from an accredited institution
  • 3+ years of experience in roles across all the phases of the Software Development Life Cycle - requirements gathering/reviews; systems and application design; development and testing.

    Position Criteria:

  • Comfortable dealing with international locations and be sensitive to cultural difference


Eaton has announced its intent to spinoff its Lighting Business into publicly traded company (“SpinCo”).  This transaction is expected to be completed by the end of 2019 and this position is expected to remain with SpinCo.   The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton’s plans, programs and practices.  The Lighting Business is in the process of developing its total rewards philosophy, strategy and structure, including the design of its benefits and annual and long-term incentive plans that will take effect when SpinCo becomes a publicly traded company. If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Lighting Business when SpinCo becomes an independent, publicly traded company, you will be eligible to participate in SpinCo’s compensation, health, welfare, and retirement benefit plans and programs and should have no expectations that SpinCo’s plans and programs will mirror or be substantially similar to Eaton’s.
