Eaton’s Lighting Division is currently seeking a Senior Graphic Designer to join our team. This position is based at our Peachtree City, Georgia location. 

Position Overview:

The Senior Graphic Designer will conceptualize, design and execute graphics that consistently and clearly communicate the creative identity, positioning and messaging through all product commercialization collateral and marketing touch points (including sales tools, presentations, print, website, packaging). A strategic, conceptual thinker with strong project management and leadership skills with a wide range of design capabilities and experience, a solid background in visual communications, print production, digital design, photography and video direction, branding and typography.

In this function you will:
  • Learn and follow the Agile ProLaunch NPI process and  participate as a design lead, manage the launch elements through the  approval and collaboration process for all levels of NPI launches. Focus will be aligned as the lead manager for ProLaunch Bronze and Silver NPI’s.

  • Diligent use of Workfront (project Management Application/Tool) to manage projects and timelines to ensure NPI (new product introduction) commercialization aligns with PROLaunch timing. Manage all engineering activities within the department including design, development, certification and testing, and serial production release. 

  • Partner with Commercialization Manager to lead the concept and direction of design projects. Lead creation of all marketing materials including, but not limited to brochures, design guides, digital creative, instruction sheets, packaging, sales presentations, sample cases, displays, etc. Lead the development/brainstorming of innovative concepts based on business goals and objectives.

  • Partner with necessary internal teams including, but not limited to Commercialization Managers, Product Marketing Managers, internal copywriter and Engineers to produce materials for launch campaigns.

  • Work with outside vendors as required on the printing of packaging, collateral materials and sales presentation materials.

  • Proactively seek necessary information on project requirements to ensure clarity and alignment on timelines, deliverables and assets.

  • Generate project/production reports for team and one on one meetings. Analyze efficiencies, resources and tools needed to continue to adapt to meet the company’s creative and product needs.

  • Create, collaborate and execute special projects as assigned by supervisor of dictated by organizational objectives

Eaton has announced its intent to spinoff its Lighting Business into publicly traded company (“SpinCo”).  This transaction is expected to be completed by the end of 2019 and this position is expected to remain with SpinCo.   The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton’s plans, programs and practices.  The Lighting Business is in the process of developing its total rewards philosophy, strategy and structure, including the design of its benefits and annual and long-term incentive plans that will take effect when SpinCo becomes a publicly traded company. If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Lighting Business when SpinCo becomes an independent, publicly traded company, you will be eligible to participate in SpinCo’s compensation, health, welfare, and retirement benefit plans and programs and should have no expectations that SpinCo’s plans and programs will mirror or be substantially similar to Eaton’s.

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • Degree in Interaction Design, Graphic Design, or equivalent design-related field 

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a graphic designer

  • Experience working in a collaborative team within an agency or corporate headquarters

  • Experience in a variety of design tools including, but not limited to Adobe Creative Suite  (Photoshop, Illustrator) and Sketch

  • Ability to work on a PC

  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future

  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.  Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Peachtree City will be considered.  Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred qualifications:
  • High professional acumen and ability to conduct one-to-one meetings with key collaborators

  • Ability to drive the design review cycle and close on design requirements independently

  • Proficiency in presenting design work to user experience teams, product and engineering teams, and executives for review and feedback

  • Keeps a breast of design trends and technology, and applies these as appropriate to optimize processes, design, or execution effectiveness
