Eaton’s Aerospace Division is currently seeking an Industrial Spray Technician on 2nd Shift to join our team. This position is based at our Euclid, OH facility.
The Industrial Spray Technician is responsible for following print specifications and established operating procedures, performing a variety of operations to fabricate bearing assemblies, and applying coatings to a variety of hardware. The individual will perform visual and dimensional inspections and maintain accurate documentations on an array of parts in accordance with ANSI Y14-5 and the certified operator program. Assistance may be given other operators on proper operational procedures.

You will perform preparatory work such as unpacking, visual inspection, degreasing, blasting, masking, plugging, and wrapping, etc., to screen surfaces for spray application according to blueprints, operational sketches, specification sheets, and tool lists.
You will perform acid dip of aluminum bearings prior to epoxy operation per operational sketches.
You will mix spray compounds according to specifications. You will also prepare solutions, paying particular attention to volumetric, viscosity and specific gravity requirements.
- You will clean, adjust and fill spray equipment.
You will apply coatings to specified thicknesses. Use electronic gages (such as Permascope) and other measuring/testing equipment as provided to determine if thickness meets specifications.
You will lap and/or ball burnish coated surface to bring into finished tolerances.
You will chart, plot and react to data per SPC requirement and load and unload Datamytes.
You will maintain accurate lot control (QCP 6.0) traceability, record keeping, log book entries, NCR’s (QCP 11.0) and associated documentation.

- High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
Must reside within a 50 mile radius of work location; no relocation benefit is provided.
This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
- Minimum one (1) year of machining experience.
- Industrial spray painting experience is preferred.
- Complete an Eaton approved training program within 120 days.
Become a Certified Operator within 40 days of becoming active on the code.
- Pass an Eaton vision test.
