Order Management Senior IT Specialist

Job Description

Join Eaton’s Information Technology team and help positively impact our business through leading technologies, exciting and challenging enterprise projects and new platforms.  We are currently seeking an Order Management Senior Specialist to join our Commercial Operations Center of Excellence (COCOE) team.  No relocation is being offered for this position.  The candidate will be based at any Eaton facility in the US. If the candidate resides within 50 miles of Beachwood, Ohio, the candidate must work at that site. If the candidate resides more than 50 miles away from Beachwood, Ohio, the candidate will work from a remote Eaton facility or an approved home office. 

 

The Order Management Senior Specialist designs, models, configures, and implements functional software and process solutions to meet desired business requirements.

  • You will be responsible for in-depth functional & business process knowledge of target application  - showing global leadership
  • You will maintain working relationships with senior IT management and group vice presidents of Sales, Channel, Pricing, Finance, Product Line Managment, Supply Chain
  • You will work in partnership with global decision makers and  business process owners on system requirements, processes, and systems.
  • You will manage requirements in line with global templates and guidelines. Ensure that solutions are for the benefit of all users, sites, divisions and regions.
  • You will be accountable for project delivery and overall customer satisfaction across the shared IT centers of excellence.
  • You will regularly communicate and reinforce project status, prioritization and timing back to all levels of the organization, including the communication of critical success measures, issues, and mitigation strategies. 
  • You will own the set-up and governance of consolidated, worldwide target processes.
  • You will demonstrate very strong analytical skills, to critically evaluate the information gathered from multiple sources and regions, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a more general understanding, distinguish presented user requests from the underlying true needs, and distinguish solution ideas from requirements.
  • You will apply governance processes to the change control, system development life cycle and ensure that necessary regression testing is delivered to ensure system integrity.
  • You will support end to end processes and has a strong level understanding of system touch points.
  • You will participate in global business process improvement committees as needed.
  • You will manage small order management projects and must comply with PMO standards.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is required
  • Minimum 8 years of experience with Order Management systems including functional analysis or project management experience is required.
  • Candidate must be authorized to work in the US on a continuous basis without company sponsorship

 

Position Criteria:

Technical knowledge:

  • Order management, Master Data Management, eCommerce, SOA, ERP, front-end technologies
  • Knowledge of Eaton Vista Order Management System is a plus
