Core Cell Operator - 2nd Shift

Job Description

Eaton’s Power Systems division has an internal opening for a 2nd Shift Core Cell Operator, pay starting at $17.55/hour. This position is based at our North Street Facility in Waukesha, WI.

 

The Core Cell Operator will operate a Unicore machine while maintaining adequate proficiency in all areas for production needs, and will use powered industrial vehicles to move components or products through the facility as needed. In this role, you will perform safety checks, machine quality checks, and product quality checks, processing each appropriately based on need.

The Core Cell Operator will monitor the continuous flow of the operation to see that maximum oven baking output is achieved. You will turn in all applicable labor when operations are completed. The Core Cell Operator will also help develop and promote activities required to support a lean environment. You will operate various production equipment to insure that there is proper flow through the department, depending on needs. 


  • You will stack cores using Unicore machines.
  • You will handle material of product throughout the facility as needed. 
  • You will set up Unicore machines for the next order.
  • You will salvage and repair nonconforming cores.
  • You will receive core steel and loaded finished cores for inter-plant shipment.
  • You will maintain visual operating boards and measurements per lean manufacturing procedures.
  • You will be responsible for maintaining all Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities as required.
  • You will be responsible for training any new employees within the Core Cell, as needed.
  • You will use PLC and HMI controls.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED (General Education Degree) from an accredited institution is required
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.  Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area (50 miles) of Waukesha, WI will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing experience or military technical training
  • Ability to read a tape measure and micrometers.
  • Previous experience driving powered industrial vehicles (forklift, stacker, etc.)
  • Must be able to interpret prints, quality specifications, and applicable engineering, safety, maintenance, and operating instructions.
