Machine Operator II - 2nd Shift

Eaton’s Electrical division is currently seeking a Machine Operator II to join our second shift team. This position is based at our Arden, NC facility.

 

The Operator is responsible to process and bend raw material through the Fabrication Department. Performing initial set-up for machine operation.

As a Machine Operator you will:
  • Operate equipment/machinery to produce parts.
  • Interpret work orders including; written, oral, Kanban cards, and drawings.
  • Maintain necessary tools and materials for continuous operation.
  • Inspect final component against work specifications.
  • Perform necessary operator maintenance on machining and fabrication equipment.
  • Provide on-the-job training for new operators.
  • Perform TPM and 5S+ responsibilities daily. 

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.  Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area of Arden, NC will be considered.Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Machining Certificate
  • Previous experience in Fabrication
Position Success Criteria:
  • Able to lift 35 pounds – waist, shoulder, overhead
  • Able to read calipers, protractors and tape measures
  • Able to read blue prints
  • Proven history of safe work habits and good attendance
  • Must be able to work effectively without direct supervision
  • Able to work overtime – weekdays and weekends
