Job Description

Eaton’s Electrical Division is currently seeking an Assembler, split shift (10AM-6:30PM) to join our team. This position is based at our Watertown, WI facililty.
 
The Assembler is responsible for reporting to the Production Supervisor, and the position entails mounting and basic wiring of components with standard layouts/options, performs sub-assembly functions, and developing enhanced wiring skills under the direction of a more experienced Assemblers.

  • You will read, interpret, and follow basic schematics, drawings and bills of material.
  • You will operate hand tools, torque drivers, and pneumatic tools.
  • You will perform repetitive line assembly and wiring operations on standard assemblies or sub-assemblies.
  • You will handle, lift and move material/inventory from stock location to assembly area.
  • You will operate certified equipment after appropriate training.
  • You will facilitate ongoing continuous improvement in support of quality, productivity, and growth objectives.
  • You will communicate daily with the production supervisor.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring company sponsorship.
  • There is no relocation being offered for this position. Candidate must currently reside within 50 miles of the Watertown, WI vicinity. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical limitation.
     
  • Previous electrical or electro-mechanical experience (large scale assembly preferred).
  • Previous plumbing or HVAC experience.

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where limited standardization exists, using reasoning and decision making skills to ensure quality work.
  • Demonstrates enthusiasm, takes initiative, and works with a sense of urgency to meet or exceed routing times and quality goals.
  • Demonstrates learning agility and the ability to understand basic schematics and manufacturing drawings. Must have basic computer, math and reading skills.
  • Time and change management skills.
  • Ability to regularly communicate and work with a team where the purpose of contact is to provide and/or receive information, explanation, or interpretation of information.
