This exciting role Lead product development (Software) team for PCD – Meters, Relays and IoT division. Enrich the climate of innovation to drive growth & accelerate software capability development. Recruit, mentor and retain team of engineers providing product design development experiences to cater for global MRIoT engineering needs. Develop product & technology roadmap, build subject matter experts for global roles.
- Provide tactical and strategic direction for software development using java script, Angular 2 and above, WPF C# and embedded Linux C++ platforms.
- Look for opportunities to expand/grow business, build customer relations, influence, and negotiate to set realistic expectations with internal stakeholders.
- Champion Agile deployment ensuring project health on SCRUM parameters.
- Leads multiple projects in collaboration with multi-functional teams with exposure to senior level management to drive new product development.
- Lead Agile Scrum practices and contribute in sprint planning, demo and retrospective.
- Deploys six sigma initiatives within the group to improve quality, speed of execution.
- Champion P-reviews for the group and leverage SMEs to conduct the design and code T-reviews.
- Foster a culture within the team to make work more exciting, engaging and meaningful for team members.
If you are:
Required: Master’s degree in engineering, preferably Electrical/Electronics/Computer from an accredited institution.
A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience with few years in leadership & people management.
Cloud /Azure IOT Experience in Requirement, architecture, design & code reviews
Exposure to requirement based testing - Unit, Integration, System , CI /CD exposure.
Sound understanding of Agile development, UML, SDL and CMM.
Sound knowledge of best practices in software engineering methodologies, processes, and technologies with a passion for programming.
A minimum of 2+ years of people management experience required.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in of full software development life cycle on multiple projects including requirements, design, development, verification & validation, qualification & certification for Electrical applications.
Sound Knowledge and experience with process frameworks, requirements management, defect tracking, build management, change management, and configuration management tools.
Program management skills, knowledge of customer strategies, successful new product introduction experience, creative/innovative thinking.
