Senior Analyst - Demand Planner

Eaton’s Electrical division is currently seeking a Senior Analyst – Demand Planner to join our team. This position is based at our Moon Township, PA facility.


Position Overview:                                                                                        


The primary function includes but is not limited to coordinating sales and marketing forecasts into a factory production plan that will satisfy customer expectations, while minimizing inventory investment, and maximizing customer growth opportunities.  Additional responsibilities may include: Planning and purchase of Direct Source product to meet inventory and customer satisfaction goals.

In this function you will:


·     Lead, coordinate and manage monthly Sales, Inventory, Operations, Planning (SIOP) meetings with marketing, manufacturing locations, and suppliers to review prior performance and establish short and long term production plans.

·     Understand and support the requirements of various customer channels (e.g. retail, OEM, distributor, international, inter-unit, etc).

·     Collect and incorporate customer forecasts and historical demand information into forecasting database to be used as in input into future demand and production plans.

·     Develop a rate-based production plan for high volume products.

·     Standardize and publish daily status reports tracking key metrics that drive the business.

·     Manage and maintain finished good inventory levels at distribution centers to maximize customer service while minimizing inventory investment.

·     Communicate with distribution centers on a regular basis to provide shipment coordination, advanced knowledge of significant upcoming activity, changes in numbers of SKU’s, project management, etc.

·     Provide support and coordinate the phase-in of new products and phase-out of obsolete, in order to monitor and minimize excess inventory investment.

·     Coordinate and direct data gathering, analysis, and output with Shared Service Centers.

·     Perform VISTA (proprietary Order Management system) product registration and maintenance.

·     Identify and communicate opportunities to improve customer service, inventory and operational performance to divisional and plant leadership.Support other Supply Chain materials functions as identified.

 Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  •        Bachelor Degree from an accredited institution.
  •        Minimum 2 years’ experience in production planning, SIOP, or customer service.
  •        Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, specifically Excel
  •        Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
  •        Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Only candidates in the immediate geographic area (50 mile radius) will be considered.


Preferred qualifications:

·    Bachelor’s degree in a Technical Discipline from an accredited institution

·    Proficiency in VISTA order management, Forecast Pro software and use of Hummingbird software (Mentor)

·    APICS Certification
