Engineering Technician

Job Description

Eaton’s Vehicle Division is currently seeking an Engineering Technician to join our team. This position is based at our Roxboro, North Carolina facility.

 

Position Overview:

 

The Engineering Technician is responsible for day to day support of the cold forming and machining processes and long-term improvements. The individual filling this role will also be responsible for tooling cost reductions and must have the ability to lead tooling improvements.

In this function you will:
  • Lead troubleshooting for tooling usage

  • Advise maintenance on machine repairs

  • Assist with troubleshooting of part quality issues

  • Mentoring machine technicians on proper machine setup

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • High school Diploma or GED from an accredited institution

  • A minimum of 3 year of experience as an Mechanical/Electrical Technician OR an Associate’s Degree OR currently pursuing an Associate’s Degree from an accredited institution.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.  Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Roxboro, NC will be considered.  Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

 

Preferred qualifications:

 
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience in the design, development, and troubleshooting of highly automated production lines.

  • Experience using CAD systems (PRO-E, AutoCAD, etc.).

  • Experience utilizing Lean Manufacturing Tools.
  • Automotive or Aerospace experience, preferred.
