Eaton’s Lighting division is currently seeking a Field Quality Manager to join our team. This position is based at our Peachtree City, GA facility.

The Field Quality Manager is responsible for the successful administration, planning, and execution of all advanced quality resolutions.  In this role, you will apply the appropriate knowledge, skills, tools and techniques required to effectively manage the field quality team, improving processes and leveraging the necessary resources to successfully bring a customer claim to completion quickly and efficiently.

The manager acts as the lead and owns all aspects of field quality process. The manager will be responsible for setting team direction, working on strategic improvement projects and driving change across the Lighting Division quality, marketing, engineering and operations teams.

  • You will drive quality improvements through cross functional coordination between quality, engineering and operations teams.

  • You will lead FQE team, coordinating on high profile issues and negotiations.

  • You will enable teams to execute contracts in accordance with the project scope and requirements by working with installing contractors.

  • You will identify project stakeholders (i.e. agents, contractors, engineers and/or end users) and determine needs and expectations for each project as it pertains to the complete lighting system.

  • You will establish clear set of goals for FQE team.

  • You will work with various functional groups to manage changes and change notices (i.e. marketing, engineering, quality, supply chain and operations).

  • You will review project scope changes and financial ramifications with installing contractors, end users, and finance team.

  • You will work with project stakeholders to suggest and implement improvements

  • You will coordinate processing of purchase orders and invoices as prescribed by the project schedule. 

  • You will review BOM’s and purchase orders for errors.

  • You will review customer Return Material Requests through Electricals Testing and Analysis to approve/deny according to established procedures.

  • You will manage escalations and high priority issues as needed.

  • You will conduct post mortem or lessons learned review with key stakeholder as part of the continuous improvement effort to achieve world class field quality standards in the lighting industry.

  • You will review warranty trends and drive organization and product improvements

Eaton has announced its intent to spinoff its Lighting Business into publicly traded company (“SpinCo”).  This transaction is expected to be completed by the end of 2019 and this position is expected to remain with SpinCo.   The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton’s plans, programs and practices.  The Lighting Business is in the process of developing its total rewards philosophy, strategy and structure, including the design of its benefits and annual and long-term incentive plans that will take effect when SpinCo becomes a publicly traded company. If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Lighting Business when SpinCo becomes an independent, publicly traded company, you will be eligible to participate in SpinCo’s compensation, health, welfare, and retirement benefit plans and programs and should have no expectations that SpinCo’s plans and programs will mirror or be substantially similar to Eaton’s.

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in technician, quality, or engineering position in the electrical or lighting industry
  • Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Only candidates currently located within a 50 mile radius of Peachtree City, GA, will be considered.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship. 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution

  • Lighting control systems experience
  • Systems experience (BMS, Lighting Control, Automation, etc).

  • Budget management experience.
  • Strong PC skills, including Windows and Microsoft Office

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
