This position will be responsible for maintaining product information within Eaton’s Product Data Hub, with a focus on attaining a high degree of product data quality, consistency and completeness for over 6 million products globally. The position is responsible for cleansing and maintaining product attributes across the Electrical group.

This position is a part of the Commercial Data Organization and works very closely with the business to get high levels of product/business understanding.  The position requires a high understanding of the English language as well as the ability to edit and copy proper grammar.  Candidates will be required to enrich and standardize product data with specifications, images, associations and other information that is stored in the centralized data hub.  This requires a high level of familiarity and engagement with different sources (i.e. product drawings, websites, brochures, technical data sheets, training materials, catalogs, installation manuals, etc.) to ensure completed product data. The position communicates with various business stakeholders and  technical teams around the enterprise.  Superior written skills are required.


Your essential responsibilities:

  • Write and edit a heavy volume of product information such as product descriptions, product attributes and unstructured content

  • Ability to find inconsistencies in product information and working through the enterprise governance processes for standardization

  • Responsible for providing tactical assistance to Product life cycle management in enterprise/business systems and services.

  • Ensure accuracy, completeness and health requirements for product data globally.

  • Responsibility for collecting, organizing, creating, documenting, and entering detailed attribute information

  • Work with Product Data Hub tools to build a centralized product database for Electrical Product lines.

  • Preparing and  documenting attribute mapping sheets for various data sources

  • Experience is data management and governance, designing and maintaining KPI’s for data quality

  • Experience in Product lifecycle Management, product development and management exposure.

  • Collaborates with technical team for system improvements and testing of Integration mappings between different applications and PDH.

  • Works with different source systems (Product drawings, ERPs, etc.) to source product attributes and specifications.

  • Ability to present details of complex data quality or workflow issues for internal review.

  • Flexible attitude to work with and the willingness to learn new skills when required.


If you are/have:

  • Any graduate/post graduate with 1-2 years of experience in data analysis

  • Good written communications skills and messaging

  • Expertise in MS-Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

  • Knowledge of various systems and processes [product management, manufacturing, marketing and engineering]

  • Co-ordinate with different functional heads/personnel as per the need and able to take other tasks which would be assigned time to time.

  • Must be innovative, creative and collaborative

  • Must be a strong communicator

  • Must be a self-starter with energy and enthusiasm towards a matrix team environment

  • Important competencies are: Decision Quality, Managing and Measuring Work, Problem Solving, Flexibility in approach.

  • Strong organization, communication skills are important – particularly for organizing and presenting data.

  • Computer-systems proficiency required especially Microsoft Office and specifically Excel.  Flexibility to learn and adapt to the needs of multiple systems.

  • Interest and flexibility to learn in functional area
