Workshop Technician

Job Description



  • Repair center (Workshop) technician, uses formal electronic education and experience to assembly, calibrate, test, and repair UPS and related components to meet and exceed customer expectations.      




            Receiving, analyzing and repair of faulty units

            Reporting to the client in writing and keeping proper record of repair and returns

            Repairs and warranties

            Preparing and submitting warranty claims

            Keeping record of all warranty claims

            Technical support to internal and external customers (Onsite support for customers,


            Assist customers with price / availability enquiries, check stock spare parts

            Assist with Commissioning’s & Factory acceptance tests

            Telephonic support for customers, branches

            Problem evaluation

            Must have knowledge schematic diagrams

            Assist with the Process of Sales Orders, issue Delivery Notes and ensure that goods are

invoiced once POD has been received.

            Prepare written, quotations, including cost calculations, data sheets

            General Administration in the service center

            PC board testing

            Fault finding and repair of UPS Systems internally

            Fault finding to component level

            Battery replacement

            Programing of UPS’s

            Compile analysis reports

            Build customer trust relationship

            Prepare reports related to service activity

            Wiring experience

            General Admin Skills







Grade 12

Tertiary Qualification N4 /N6

Computer Literate

Excel, Outlook ,Word

Able to read schematic diagrams
3-5 Years UPS knowledge/ experience in electrical related service and repairs
