Eaton's Fluid & Electrical Distribution Division is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Technician to join our team. This position is based at our Glenolden, PA facility.
The Manufacturing Engineering Technician primary function is responsible for supporting plant leadership in achieving business and financial goals by developing and maintaining robust manufacturing processes and participating and/or leading continuous improvement / cost out initiatives across the organization. Additional responsibility includes executing the organization’s strategic plan consistent with federal, state, and local regulations, established industry standards, and customer requirements.

Be responsible for assisting the manufacturing engineers in all areas of responsibility with primary focus on process checking, assembly, machining conformance to standards, and the maintenance and documentation of work instructions.
Provide technical support and instruction for group leaders and operators on proper assembly techniques.
Maintain routers and visual work instructions.
Assist in the investigation of root cause for non-conformities and implementation of corrective action.
Assist in developing and maintaining robust, cost efficient manufacturing processes and product structures consistent with lean manufacturing practices.
Implement processes, fixturing and standard work to remove variation in machining and assembly.

Must have an Associate’s degree from an accredited institution or a technical certification in a manufacturing operations/skilled trades
Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a manufacturing/operations or military environment
No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50 mile radius of Glenolden, PA will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation
This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms regulations (ITAR). Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.
Minimum of one (1) year experience working with lean tools in a manufacturing/military environment.
