Eaton’s Lighting division is currently seeking a Quality Manager to join our team. This position is based at our Vicksburg, MS facility.
The Quality Manager will manage and direct all quality aspects of operations. In this role, you will support manufacturing in delivering a quality product on time and within budget to Eaton Lighting customers. You will manage Quality Engineers and Quality System engineers, along with technicians that report directly to the Quality Assurance group. You will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these personnel. You will carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

In this role, you will:
Manage the customer complaint process. Drive use of proven root cause analysis tools and implements corrective action to prevent reoccurrence.
Sustain and coordinate the Layered Process Audit process.
Train all departments on subjects relating to quality.
Support new product introduction. Active participant in Pro-Launch.
Represent all lighting operations on Eaton Lighting product safety issues. Safety representative for all Vicksburg product Safety Committee.
Analyze, evaluate, and present information concerning factors such as business situations, production capabilities, manufacturing problems, economic trends, and design and development of new products for consideration by other members of management team.
Suggest and debate alternative method and procedures in solving problems and meeting changing market opportunities.
Cooperate with other top management personnel in formulating and establishing company policies, operating procedures, and goals.
Develop initial and subsequent modifications of product assurance program to delineate areas of responsibility, personnel requirements, and operational procedures with program.
Maintenance of ISO 9000 and EQS quality system.
Evaluate contents of reports from product assurance program department heads and confers with top management personnel preparatory to formulating fiscal budget for product assurance program.
Conduct quality management meetings with product assurance program department heads to establish, delineate, and review program organizational policies, to coordinate functions and operations between departments and to establish responsibilities and procedures for attaining objectives.
Review technical problems and procedures of departments and recommends solutions to problems or change in procedures.
Visit and confer with representatives of material and component vendors to obtain information related to supply quality, capacity of vendor to meet orders, and vendor quality standards. Manage CAR’s to our Supply Chain.
Confer with engineers about quality assurance of new products designed and manufactured products on market to rectify problems.
Review technical publications, articles and abstracts to stay abreast of technical developments in industry.
Eaton has announced its intent to spinoff its Lighting Business into publicly traded company (“SpinCo”). This transaction is expected to be completed by the end of 2019 and this position is expected to remain with SpinCo. The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton’s plans, programs and practices. The Lighting Business is in the process of developing its total rewards philosophy, strategy and structure, including the design of its benefits and annual and long-term incentive plans that will take effect when SpinCo becomes a publicly traded company. If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Lighting Business when SpinCo becomes an independent, publicly traded company, you will be eligible to participate in SpinCo’s compensation, health, welfare, and retirement benefit plans and programs and should have no expectations that SpinCo’s plans and programs will mirror or be substantially similar to Eaton’s.

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution required.
Minimum five (5) years of experience in a Quality function within a manufacturing environment
Minimum three (3) years of work experience managing and/or supervising people
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship both now and in the future
No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of the Vicksburg, MS site will be considered.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business Administration
Six Sigma Black Belt and/or Certified Quality Manager (ASQ)
Experience with maintenance and/or implementation of ISO 9001; 2015 quality systems
Lighting and/or electrical industry experience
