Eaton’s Vehicle division is currently seeking an Operations Manager (Site Leader) to join our team. This position is based at our Queretaro Facility


The Operations Manager (Site Leader) is responsible for leading the organization at auto Queretaro Site with all the activities to manage and direct the Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering areas for the auto Queretaro Site.

Some activities related with the position will be:
  1. Develop and implement local policies and procedures to meet the needs of the Eaton Business System, Values and Philosophy Site operation.

  2. Drive Site profitability through participation with Sales, Product Line Strategy Teams and Cost Out councils.

  3. Understands, promotes and adheres to the company’s policy on Equal Opportunity and Diversity.

  4. Select, motivate, and develop personnel to assure a team of qualified personnel.

  5. Maintain and improve employee relationships with both hourly and salaried employees.

  6. Develop and maintain ongoing manufacturing strategy.

  7. Develop and manage Site Profit Plan departmental budgets.

  8. Develop and implement capital plans to support manufacturing strategy.

  9. Monitor product quality levels and introduce and implement new programs to assure continued improvement that meets customer requirements.

  10. Direct and coordinate the implementation of new product lines.

  11. Direct cost estimating and cost savings programs.

  12. Coordinate support and communication with all functional departments.

  13. Create an atmosphere and provide leadership that allows each manager to utilize his/her full potential to accomplish plant, region and product line objectives.

  14. Provide decisions on quality related issues that cannot be brought to resolution at factory level.

  15. Support meeting all of the criteria identified in the MESH Process, through genuine safety culture using systematic near misses approach. Determine and make available resources to establish, implement, maintain and improve the site’s MESH.

     
  16. Active member to facilitates risk assessment at the location to identify critical EHS hazards and aspects. Works with leadership team to create targets and objectives based on key EHS risks.

  17. Determines appropriate leading and lagging indicators to track performance against targets and objectives.

  18. Supports creation of EHS goals for the site manager and appropriate activity-based goals for the leadership team, functional managers, and front-line supervisors to drive EHS culture, compliance, and results.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • Bachelor degree in Business, Engineering, Manufacturing or a related field.

  • Master’s degree highly preferred.

  • Minimum 10 – 12 years manufacturing experience.

  • 5 to 7 Year in a Manager Role

  • Plant Manager Experience in an Automotive Business.

  • Forecasting and budgetary experience.

  • Solid communication skills.

  • 3 – 5 years Management/supervisory experience.

  • Strong Lean Culture knowledge

  • Strong leadership and communication skills

  • Bilingual English/Spanish
