Eaton’s B-Line Division is currently seeking a Quotations Representative to join our team. This position is based at our Highland, IL facility. 

Position Overview:

The Quotations Representative is responsible for understanding, executing and maintaining pricing strategies. Your responsibilities will include utilizing sales and technical knowledge to develop comprehensive, competitive and accurate bid packages and rebate agreements.  In this role, you will coordinate activities with other departments to obtain accurate information on manufacturability, costs, availability, logistics, lead times and other product parameters and will use judgment and discretion to interpret data and prepare the most accurate pricing in an efficient manner

In this function you will:
  • Prepare complete, comprehensive, pricing agreements (quotations, ship & debit agreements, and stock discounts) in a timely manner

  • Develop and maintain an understanding of market trends and conditions, bid strategies, and competitive activity

  • Develop and maintain continuous ownership of all aspects of pricing for assigned territory or product line

  • Follow up on outstanding quotations to determine project status, increase success rate, and measure win/loss ratios

  • Review specifications and drawings to provide comparable, competitive product offerings

  • Be accountable for maintaining profit margins and price realization while supporting growth targets

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required from a four-year college or university
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without out company sponsorship, now or in the future.

  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.  Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Highland, IL will be considered.  Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of B-Line Products
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the electrical industry
  • Knowledge of SAP and Business Explorer
  • Background in Manufacturing or Distribution 
  • Experience with electrical, mechanical or Datacom channels to market and familiarity with selling through manufacturer’s representative, distribution, or factory direct sales forces.
  • Must have a strong mechanical aptitude
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (particularly Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong math background with excellent analytical skills
