EIIC – Lighting Division has an opening for a Senior Engineer - Electronics Hardware position who is passionate about his/her trade, to join our team in leading the design, development and testing of embedded Hardware projects for Lighting Products in Electrical Domain. Positions’ main responsibility would be to enhance existing and/or validate new hardware designs/technology that enables the launch of new intelligent lighting products. Provide technical solutions, follow defined processes & lead in hardware development & technology innovations. Should demonstrate ‘Right to Left’ thinking (starting with consideration for end user).

Your essential responsibilities:

  • Works in conjunction with remote engineering and internal resources to create the overall project timeline as well as define deliverables and drive team to completion.
  • Coordinates with marketing to ensure project specifications are clear, complete, and achievable and are consistent with voice of the customer.
  • Ensures project tooling budget and product cost requirements are being met.
  • Coordinates with Sourcing personnel to ensure vendors are identified, quotations are being obtained and quality standards/form deliverables are being met.
  • Review technical concepts of all electronics projects including equipment specification and design.
  • Conducts design reviews as well as the Design and Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis (DFMEA, PFMEA) sessions to Identifying project risks and develop response plan.
  • In conjunction with other team members present the project status at PRO-Launch.


If you are:
Required Qualifications:
  • Requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in engineering in electronics/electrical/instrumentation/computer science with 6+ years of experience.

  • Total relevant work experience: 6+ years.
  • Extensive experience of full Hardware development life cycle including requirements management, design, development, verification & validation, qualification & certification testing in Electrical / Industrial applications.

  • Demonstrated ability to technically lead, work with cross functional teams & provide solutions.

  • Should have hands on experience linear / Switched Mode Power Supplies & drivers especially for lighting applications.

  • Should have hands on experience on hardware architecture design, feature & performance specifications, 16/32 bit micro-controllers  based designs.

  • Should have hands on experience in wireless hardware design for WiFi,Zigbee and Bluetooth  etc.

  • Should have hands on experience on simulation tools like PSpice, LTSpice, Model Sim, etc.

  • Hands on experience in defining the system / subsystem specifications, designing the architecture and requirements for complex systems.

  • Should have ability to influence and drive people / activities on complex technical issues.

  • Strong knowledge of EMI / EMC certification and environmental compliances – UL /IEC /  RoHS / REACH etc.

  • Hands on experience on various Communication protocols like RS232, SPI, I2C, Ethernet, wireless etc.

  • Experience collaborating with local / global suppliers for prototype developments, external labs for testing etc.

  • Good knowledge on PCB design guidelines for SI, high speed design & EMI/EMC.

  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Product hardware design experience in Lighting Domain.
