The primary function of this role is leading product design, development and release process and product roadmap for assigned products. You will work within the world class Engineering team at Watford.

 

 

Your key deliverables:

 

  • Serve as primary product expert for Architectural lighting controls products

  • Maintains an expert knowledge of the controls products, including but not limited to, product feature and benefits, product applications, market trends and competitive landscape. 

  • You will develop and undertake market research including VOC to understand technology and market trends, to build products and programs/etc to exploit these findings.

  • You will work with marketing, communications and sales on all aspects of print, production, and distribution of marketing materials, literature, sales presentations, and all other communicative materials for Eaton lighting systems for internal and external use.

  • Identify, Create, develop, and manage OEM programs with 3rd party manufacturers to develop additional sales and manufacturing flexibility. 

  • Perform product demonstrations at trade shows, online seminars and other events internally & externally 

  • Provides expert support to Marketing functions.  Reviews catalogs and makes recommendation ensuring that product cataloging "makes sense" relative to marketplace, engineering applications, pricing, etc. 

  • Coordinate customer feedback with development and manufacturing to maintain product Quality.            

  • You will coordinate BETA sites and testing of new products and features.  Document and report problems and recommend solutions/improvements to engineering.  Participate in product performance benchmarking activities.  

  • Travel with sales team for specific product or technically orientated events. 

  • You will review promotional and PR materials in conjunction with Marketing Manager with respect to accuracy and consistency.



    Eaton has announced its intent to spinoff its Lighting Business into publicly traded company (“SpinCo”).  This transaction is expected to be completed by the end of 2019 and this position is expected to remain with SpinCo.   The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton’s plans, programs and practices.  The Lighting Business is in the process of developing its total rewards philosophy, strategy and structure, including the design of its benefits and annual and long-term incentive plans that will take effect when SpinCo becomes a publicly traded company. If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Lighting Business when SpinCo becomes an independent, publicly traded company, you will be eligible to participate in SpinCo’s compensation, health, welfare, and retirement benefit plans and programs and should have no expectations that SpinCo’s plans and programs will mirror or be substantially similar to Eaton’s.

Required:


  • Experience in marketing/sales/engineering with product focus

  • Excellent communication, organizational and motivational skills

  • Comprehensive knowledge of lighting controls products, including good understanding of the technical aspects of the products, engineering and product applications, benefits, features, etc.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects/activities across multiple sites
