Job Description

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Supports the supply chain process and methods standardization, and all the supply chain improvements in the Latin America region, including but not limited to: key supply chain related functions, SIOP,  materials planning, logistic, inventory and warehouse management, import & export, customs and trade compliance,  supporting effectively our internal customer to meet sales and inventory objectives, in accordance with the supply chain management operational directives and guidelines.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Deploys and standardizes materials planning process in the region.

  • Deploys and coordinates SIOP (Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning) in the region, with focus on reduce gross inventory and improve on time delivery, specifically managing the demand planning for the distribution center on the region.

  • Ensures company standard procedures and corporate directives and guidelines are followed in connection with negotiation and purchases of materials and services, in order to maximize profit and minimize company exposure.

  • Deploys Eaton standard SCM tools in the region in order to improve SCM management, focusing on deploying the Material Management Assessment (MMA) and Operation Assessment (OpA) coordinating with corporate supply chain and logistics function to provide data and participate on teams to drive best practices, policies and corporate procedures.

  • Supports trade compliance and utilization of corporate suppliers in the region.

  • Drives logistics process improvements, developing an optimal material flow to support customer requirements. Support the sales organization on costing the best logistics solution for special projects, based on reducing costs and lead times.

  • Develops and controls standard metrics according to Eaton policies, establishing a clear balance score card, and root-cause analysis process to improve these metrics.

  • Controls logistics, warehousing and distribution costs in the region.

  • Supports inventory control and warehousing in the region, focusing in balance inventory and lead times with customer requirements

Qualifications

Education and Skills required to meet position qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Administration or Engineering.
  • Minimum of five years of combined experience in SIOP, Logistics, Purchasing, and Materials Management functions. 
  • Sound working knowledge of Logistics and Planning Processes, Inventory Management and Materials Management.
  • Sound working knowledge of the SIOP process as well as market accepted business policies and procedures. 
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.  
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills.
  • Incumbent must be fully bi-lingual (English/Spanish or Portuguese).
  • Deep ERP Knowledge.
  • Post-Graduation or Master’s Degree in related career will be a plus.
